Holding seller payouts does not add value!
After 24 years on the platform, having our payouts hijacked with no rational reasoning or explanation is unacceptable. As such, we stopped selling on ebay nearly two months ago. If ebay seeks to add value to buyers, may I suggest that ebay stop providing fraudsters with accounts and a platform upon which to practice their grifting. Holding the assets of established sellers is biting the hand that feeds. In the future, if we decide to again sell on the platform, any hold placed will immediately necessitate our cancellation of the sale; as there is no way we are going to be providing Ebay with interest free assets upon whichh ebay earns money market rates. Although ebay has always treated sellers poorly, this new payout policy is absurd and demonstrates an utter lack of respect and appreciation for sellers: for those who generate the fees and revenue streams that keep Ebay's overpaid executives stooped over with their snouts down at the trough! This new payout policy is merely the latest albeit most egregious example of ebay shirking its responsibility by placing the burden upon sellers. What's next: sellers must create video content showing buyers how to correctly utilize the items they purchase? Just wait: fraudsters will now be receiving items and then opting to return said items, using the USPS and their inadequate tracking system, with nothing but air in the returning box; and Ebay's response will be: . That's right, nothing. As such, I suggest that every longtime and established seller write, call, and contact the executive team as well as heavy shareholders and any institution holding ebay debt. Let them know that Ebay's failure to spend the money necessary to hiring real people to monitor newish accounts for fraud, opting instead to create their own M1 float liquidity accounts with seller assets, is unacceptable. If ebay wants to add value to the buying experience, then ebay needs to hire and pay experienced members of the selling community to red flag bogus accounts. Pawning off Ebay's responsibility via the use of seller assets, and then proclaiming such a better form of buyer protection, is BS. Hence, why ebay hasn't bothered to provide us all with a set, coherent, and transparent policy for payouts. It's just another corporate grift designed to shift corporate liabilities over to those ebay believes are captive to their platform; merely another way to enhance revenue margins at the expense of sellers. Well, I say ENOUGH!metaunstable24-01-2026Community Member23Views0likes0CommentsPayouts on hold
I am an eBay top rated seller with excellent metrics for over 5 years now. On October 31, 2025, eBay started putting funds on hold for incoming sales until 7 days after the items have been delivered. This happened without any warning or an email from eBay that they would now hold funds until 1 week after delivery. I have been selling on eBay consistently for the past 5 years, and have been receiving my payouts daily until now. There have been no changes to my account and my sales and listing practices in the same categories have been stable. No sudden growth or any account defect problems. I have talked to different customer service reps who all give me a different answer. It seems phone reps have absolutely no idea how to resolve this and just read off a script or AI google search. eBay phone reps say the hold on funds is not permanent, but they also don't know when the fund holds on purchases will be lifted. When asked if they see any problems within my store, they say everything is excellent. They have no answer as to why funds are being held, aside from " this is a new policy " I just want someone from eBay to help me, someone that knows what's happening and can clearly explain this new funds on hold for eBay seller accounts that have excellent standing. I want to understand why there was no seller news on this, or why we didn't even receive an e-mail before a new policy rolled out was to be applied to my store? I know I am not alone on this topic, and many sellers have been asking the same questions with no clear answers. eBay needs to be more transparent with actions they take on seller accounts so we can be ready. Items shipped out take anywhere from 4-10 days to be delivered. Then payments will not be released again until 7 days after delivery. This cripples my business' cashflow. From bills, to inventory re-stock, to paying my overhead to keep the store running. How does an eBay store grow when the payments are tied up for 2-3 weeks without warning? I'm upset because I follow eBay rules and policies by the book, provide excellent customer service, yet I feel my store is being treated like its a new account.thefindershut24-01-2026Community Member294Views3likes5CommentsUSPS tracking not updating – possibly weather & holiday related?
Hi everyone, I wanted to check if other sellers are experiencing the same issue. Over the past week, I’ve had several international packages that are already marked as arrived in the U.S. (international mail scan), but on USPS.com the tracking does not update to “received” or show further movement for several days. Given the recent severe winter weather in parts of the U.S., combined with the Christmas and New Year holiday period, I’m wondering if this is affecting USPS internal scans and tracking updates, even though the packages are physically moving. Is anyone else seeing this issue lately? Do the tracking updates usually resume after a delay and the packages deliver normally? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.tdstore198608-01-2026Community Member67Views0likes1CommentI want a solution for fine jewelry category shipment.

As we know there are tariffs to be paid now on arrival of shipment to USA from INDIA. If a Sale is done ,seller ships and a buyer refuses to pay tariffs at arrival of shipment, how will eBay protects its sellers? . My recent shipments to USA and Canada are on hold since a week. What will happen if buyer refuses to pay duty?. There should be some seller protection if buyer refuses to pay the customs duty, . Some time back also i had to pay custom duty for a eBay buyer from Canada because there was no response from buyer. The date of delivery of my shipments has been extended , but all payments are on hold. Please release our funds and provide a solution. Hello eBay Community, I'm a new cross-border seller (User ID: koko_toy_store) starting my dropshipping journey on eBay US and UK. I have secured a supplier with a 7-15 day shipping time from China, which I believe is a strong advantage. I would greatly appreciate your insights on the following three key areas to ensure my success and account safety: 1. Dropshiping Policy & Account Safety What are the latest best practices or tips for Dropshipping on eBay while staying compliant with all eBay policies? Are there any common mistakes new dropshippers make that I should avoid? 2. Fast Shipping Strategy I have secured a 7-15 day delivery time. How should I structure my listing titles and descriptions to best highlight this fast shipping (from China to USA/UK) to attract buyers and ensure I meet their expectations? What is the ideal handling time to set for this speed? 3. Product Niche Feedback I am focusing on small electronics (3C accessories), Car Accessories (like cup holders and steering wheel locks), and Home Security (like wall-mount key boxes). Are these categories currently performing well for international sellers on eBay US and UK? I welcome any quick feedback on these niches. Thank you very much for your time and guidance!
