I am an eBay top rated seller with excellent metrics for over 5 years now. On October 31, 2025, eBay started putting funds on hold for incoming sales until 7 days after the items have been delivered. This happened without any warning or an email from eBay that they would now hold funds until 1 week after delivery. I have been selling on eBay consistently for the past 5 years, and have been receiving my payouts daily until now. There have been no changes to my account and my sales and listing practices in the same categories have been stable. No sudden growth or any account defect problems. I have talked to different customer service reps who all give me a different answer. It seems phone reps have absolutely no idea how to resolve this and just read off a script or AI google search. eBay phone reps say the hold on funds is not permanent, but they also don't know when the fund holds on purchases will be lifted. When asked if they see any problems within my store, they say everything is excellent. They have no answer as to why funds are being held, aside from " this is a new policy " I just want someone from eBay to help me, someone that knows what's happening and can clearly explain this new funds on hold for eBay seller accounts that have excellent standing. I want to understand why there was no seller news on this, or why we didn't even receive an e-mail before a new policy rolled out was to be applied to my store? I know I am not alone on this topic, and many sellers have been asking the same questions with no clear answers. eBay needs to be more transparent with actions they take on seller accounts so we can be ready. Items shipped out take anywhere from 4-10 days to be delivered. Then payments will not be released again until 7 days after delivery. This cripples my business' cashflow. From bills, to inventory re-stock, to paying my overhead to keep the store running. How does an eBay store grow when the payments are tied up for 2-3 weeks without warning? Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance or an escalation from a Community Lead regarding my payout schedule. I’ve been selling on eBay for over 7 months with a clean track record and zero unresolved cases. Despite this, my funds are consistently held for 8 days after delivery. I am aware that my "Tracking uploaded on time and validated" metric recently dipped to 92%, but I have corrected my shipping workflow, and my projected status for the next evaluation is now back above the 95% threshold. I’ve tried reaching out through the automated assistant, but it only offers an email option and provides scripted responses stating the process is "automatic." As an established seller, I would like to request a Manual Risk Review of my account to move me to the standard payout cycle. Could a moderator please help me get this in front of the Payments/Risk Team? I wanted to share my experience so other sellers are aware. My 20-year-old eBay account was recently hit with selling restrictions. What’s frustrating is that eBay has given no clear reason for the restriction and refuses to provide any explanation, despite repeated inquiries. Because my account is restricted, I can no longer use my eBay Global Shipping (EGS) balance. Naturally, I requested a refund of that balance - which I believe I have every right to receive. However, since 21 July, I’ve been trying multiple times to get this processed, and eBay keeps telling me the matter has been “escalated to a higher authority team,” with no resolution in sight. It’s disappointing to see a marketplace treat long-standing sellers this way — applying restrictions instantly but taking months (or more) to address legitimate refund requests. Important note for other sellers: If you use EGS, keep only the balance you need for daily shipments. Buyer filed for not received and I am totally on their side as well beyond when it should of arrived. 90% of my packages are mailed SAME not next day. Tomorrow I feel the buyer is going to get the money back for the item. Any time I have had shipments do this in the past they eventually did arrive to the buyer and never back to me. Other times when it has just stopped traveling through the network for over a day or days of course send refund right away. Likely the buyer will receive the item few days after the 8th is USPS correct course. Hello, I have been selling on eBay for the past four years and have maintained a 100% positive feedback rating throughout this period. Recently, my account was limited due to a high number of INR (Item Not Received) cases, which were unfortunately beyond my control. I have already contacted the customer support team at eBay and provided detailed explanations along with supporting proof for each case. Despite this, the limitation remains in place. I would sincerely appreciate any guidance or assistance regarding the removal of these defects and the reinstatement of my account. Additionally, I would like to understand whether this suspension is temporary or permanent. As per my current assessment, these defects are expected to be cleared within the next couple of weeks. Could anyone also clarify if the account will be automatically reinstated during the 12-week evaluation period once the defect rate improves? Hi Guys its that time of year again, HMRC time . Ive downloaded a digital sales report but for the life of me i cant see in the deduction in sales for postage purchased via Ebay .? "Total fees " only appear to include insertion fees ,final value fees and tax which is collected via ebay on their final deduction per item ? . The figures i have on file dont tally with Ebay .
