Stuck on 8 day Payout Hold - Seeking Manual Review
Summary: slrdirect started a discussion seeking a manual review process due to being stuck on an 8-day payout hold. furisa@ebay and books-games-glass participated in the conversation, but the details of their responses are unclear. It seems slrdirect is looking for suggestions or assistance from the community regarding this predicament.
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance or an escalation from a Community Lead regarding my payout schedule.
I’ve been selling on eBay for over 7 months with a clean track record and zero unresolved cases. Despite this, my funds are consistently held for 8 days after delivery.
I am aware that my "Tracking uploaded on time and validated" metric recently dipped to 92%, but I have corrected my shipping workflow, and my projected status for the next evaluation is now back above the 95% threshold.
I’ve tried reaching out through the automated assistant, but it only offers an email option and provides scripted responses stating the process is "automatic."
As an established seller, I would like to request a Manual Risk Review of my account to move me to the standard payout cycle. Could a moderator please help me get this in front of the Payments/Risk Team?
Thank you for your time.

Hello @slrdirect
Greetings from team eBay!
Thank you for sharing the details of your situation, and we completely understand your concerns regarding the payout hold timeframe.
While we’re able to provide general guidance here on the Seller Dashboard, we do not have access to specific account-level details or the ability to review, modify, or escalate transaction holds directly.
To help protect your account information and privacy, detailed reviews and account-specific explanations can only be handled by the appropriate specialized team. Since this appears to be related to an account-level restriction or payout review, we would recommend contacting our eBay Help & Contact team directly and selecting the “Restriction” option. When reaching out, please include any relevant order numbers and item details so the specialist team can review the matter further for you.
You can contact them here:
Help & Contact > Go to Restriction
We appreciate your understanding, and we hope the specialized team will be able to provide more information regarding your account review and payout schedule.

·4 months agoI have the same issue and am "Top Rated" supposedly (doesn't seem to mean anything) according to Ebay's own metrics. I have called the support team and they don't know anything. They literally just told me to keep selling and in time things would improve. When I asked how long, they said they didn't really have a timeline. When I asked for any kind of specifics at all, they couldn't give it to me. I do not believe the support team actually knows how the system works.
So, what else am I supposed to do other than stop using the platform?

Hello @books-games-glass
Greetings from team eBay!
We truly appreciate the effort you’ve put into maintaining your Top Rated Seller status—this is a strong achievement and a great reflection of your overall performance. It’s also a positive signal to buyers when they view your seller profile.
That said, Top Rated Seller eligibility and transaction holds are reviewed under different criteria, as they serve different purposes. Transaction holds are handled by a separate team and are designed to help build account trust by confirming not only sales activity, but also consistent successful delivery outcomes. Over time, this helps strengthen your selling history and supports long-term account stability.
Please rest assured that the hold is temporary. We understand how important it is to have your funds released as soon as possible, and at the same time, these measures are in place to support sustainable growth and protect both sellers and buyers. Continuing to build a strong, positive selling history is a great way to help the system recognize your account as established and trusted over time.
For more details, I invite you to review the information available on transaction holds.
Regards,
eBay Team
