Hi i just want to know why ebay charge on shipping may i know what is the reason behind of this ? For example my item cost is 60$ and shipping fees is 100$ why ebay shouldn’t put commission only on item cost why they put commission including shipping value 160$ that’s not fear!!
as much as i know that ebay only charge listing fees but when see the product whole amount show over there there is also a ebay take charge on shipping so pls tell me how much amt ebay charge from a seller

We charge one final value fee when your item sells. This fee is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of the sale, plus a per order fee. For orders $10.00 or less the per order fee is $0.30, for orders over $10.00 the per order fee is $0.40.
The total amount of the sale includes the item price, any handling charges, any shipping costs collected from the buyer (some exceptions apply), sales tax, and any other applicable fees. Calculating the final value fee in this way helps to keep our fee structure a simple as possible. Including shipping costs and applicable taxes in the sale amount when calculating the final value fee help to minimize inflation of shipping costs and create a fair experience across the eBay site for both buyers and sellers.
