Digital sales reports

Hi Guys its that time of year again, HMRC time . Ive downloaded a digital sales report but for the life of me i cant see in the deduction in sales for postage purchased via Ebay .?

"Total fees " only appear to include insertion fees ,final value fees and tax which is collected via ebay on their final deduction per item ? . The figures i have on file dont tally with Ebay .

Maybe you guys can shed some  light on this for me

Regards to all Jon

I’d recommend checking the earnings report for the details you’re looking for.

The report shows your earnings for each order at any given point in time, after accounting for all associated expenses and refunds. For example, if you select an order period for February 2026, the report will include any expenses or refunds linked to those orders that occurred in February 2026 or even later.

For eBay labels, the relevant information in the earnings report can be found under “Shipping and handling,” which reflects the amount collected from the buyer to cover shipping and handling costs.

To download your report from My eBay:

    • Go to Payments
    • Select Reports and taxes
    • Under Earnings, click See all
    • Choose the order creation date range
    • Select Generate CSV

I’m also sharing our step-by-step help article for downloading and understanding the report:
    https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/reconciling-ebay-sales-transactions/earnings-report?id=5481

You can go through these reports to see if it works.

If any of the figures in your earnings report don’t match, we have specialists on hand to review it and manually check for any discrepancies.

Simply sign in to https://www.ebay.co.uk/ and go to Help & Contact.

I’d recommend including specific details about any discrepancy when you contact us, as this will make the review process much smoother. Helpful information to provide includes:

    • The date range you’re reviewing
    • Order number(s) in question
    • A clear breakdown of the amounts you’re trying to reconcile
    • Details of any expected vs. actual earnings (including fees, refunds, or shipping costs)
    • Screenshots or supporting documents, if available

    Hope this information helps !

    Thank you
